Monday night was a crazy night in the NBA Playoffs with the San Antonio Spurs losing, the Mavericks winning, and the Denver Nuggets arriving back from the dead to finally win a match.

The second round of the Western Conference playoffs continues to be quite murky, and we may have pretty several lower seed moving on. Let’s take a look at the competitions from last night’s NBA competition.

In the first game of the evening, the Spurs were keeping a lid on the Grizzlies for the first half of the game. But then following halftime, the Grizzlies came out and scored more than the San Antonio Spurs 30-15 and went on to win the game 104-86. The San Antonio Spurs are now one game away from being eliminated by the 8th seed. If the Grizzlies can accomplish one more win, they’ll become simply the 4th No. 8 squad in NBA history to knock off the No. 1 seed.

The second game of the night featured the Mavericks taking out the Trailblazers in yet another hard-fought battle, winning 93-82. Everyone anticipated this to be a tough series for either squad, and it is turning out that way. Dallas is now up 3 competitions to 2, and came back from their fourth-quarter meltdown in Game Four. The Blazers will be seeking to avoid elimination or at least push the series to a deciding Game Seven.

Ultimately, the Nuggets got a win over the Oklahoma City Thunder, going 104-101. The Denver Nuggets are still down 3 competitions to one, but at least averted the sweep. Can they become the first squad ever to battle back from a 3-0 deficit? Most likely not. But if they start hitting their shots greater, and making their free throws, they have a good chance of prolonging this series. And to think – the Denver Nuggets were once supposed to eliminate the Oklahoma City Thunder from the playoffs.

It looks like the lowest seed – the OKC Oklahoma City Thunder – are having the easiest time of it in the first round of the playoffs. The Mavericks are up 3-2 over the Trail Blazers, and everyone anticipated this series to go on for a little bit. But what is happening to the San Antonio Spurs, losing 3 competitions to a squad that until this year had not won a single playoff game in its team history?
